"An author of so many talents. Amelia wrote such a captivating, thought provoking, middle school kid mystery that I am so excited for my daughter and niece to read. Her character development is phenomenal as always, and the story line engaging and easy to follow. She has a knack for bouncing back and forth between characters and timelines. I had my suspicions on who stole the mascot but was very surprised by who actually did it. Super cute read. Would highly recommend for any kiddo!"

"This is like an amazing combo of Breakfast Club and Gossip Girl but for the pre-teen age. I loved all the kids (though Sophie cried too much), and Cole was my favorite. I did not guess the twist at all. I am not the target audience for this but I could not put it down! It read like a TV show. Highly suggest for the pre-teens in your life!"

"It's hard to believe this is Amelia's first book! I was sucked into the story right away. Margo is the mom and Granny we all wish we had. Sadie is a hilarious 7 year old. And Alice. Oh, Alice, trying so hard to be the perfect mom and wife while also caring for her mother, grieving her, and being angry at her. I loved this story even though it broke my heart multiple times. I'm not sure if I can forgive Jake, but I'm excited for the sequel to hear more of his story."

"Amelia has written a beautiful and captivating story, skillfully weaving together perspectives of people from three different generations. She tackles the challenges of memories being lost & not knowing what to trust or how to make sense of one's own past, as well as how to navigate the present & future in such painful circumstances. There is much beauty, joy & hope in the midst of such heartbreak.
The characters are incredibly well rounded, lovable and natural to identify with. The element of mystery in this book makes it a hard one to put down and an exciting one to look forward to.
I highly recommend this treasure!"
